Two Lives, One Mission

Help Us Fund a Service Dog for a Veteran in Need

We are a group of MBA students at Washington University in St. Louis, working together to support a cause deeply connected to the St. Louis community and to our personal values. For our semester project, we chose to partner with Dogs For Our Brave (DFOB), a St. Louis–based nonprofit that provides fully trained service dogs at absolutely no cost to veterans living with physical injuries, PTSD, and service-related trauma.

St. Louis has a long and meaningful military history, from its early forts and War of 1812 presence to the long-standing installations at Jefferson Barracks, Scott Air Force Base, and MEPS in the city today. Veterans remain central to the fabric of this community, and DFOB honors that legacy by giving wounded veterans renewed independence, emotional stability, and daily support through the life-changing companionship of a service dog.

What makes this organization extraordinary is its double impact. DFOB rescues dogs in need, trains them extensively for advanced mobility and emotional-support work, and covers all lifetime expenses, including food, equipment, and comprehensive veterinary care. This ensures that veterans never carry the financial burden of a service dog and can focus fully on healing, rebuilding, and gaining independence.

Our initial goal is to raise $5,000, the amount required to cover an annual training for one Veteran Service Dog (VSD) Team. But we hope to soar beyond that. DFOB is currently expanding from a 1,700 sq. ft. facility to a 17,000 sq. ft. training campus, enabling them to serve more veterans, rescue more dogs, and increase their nationwide impact. Any additional funds raised will directly support this expansion and strengthen their ability to transform even more lives.

Every dollar truly changes two lives at once.
Thank you for supporting this mission and for helping bring strength, healing, and new beginnings to the veterans and rescue dogs who need it most.
